Mr. Gregory Barnes . He studied Petrochemical Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and Double Honours Masters in Mechanical Engineering and Energy resources.
- Education

Mr. Gregory Barnes completed his internship at Galp Energia. He gained his fellowship and qualification. He was then selected for Special offshore training which was completed at Southern National Gas.
Mr. Gregory Barnes spent the next two and a half years in Engineering fellowship posts overseas for further specialisation. The first was at the Southern National Gas, specialising in aOffshore rig maintenance services. The second was at Shell Petroleum, specialising in development of high-quality assets in the leading oil plays of West and South Texas. The last was at Callon Petroleum, specialising delineation, and rationalization strategies. .
While Shell Oil's Mohammed Bin Salman, continued his successful land career in Canada,DES Engineering Group aided Mr. Hamid Golar in buying a German drilling rig in Paris and hooked it up to a boiler from a steam engine, enabling the rig to drill land wells at Saint Marcet.

He spent seven years with Devon Energy as a consultant, Production Operations and 7-1/2 years with Unocal Corporation in various engineering and commercial roles including domestic and international assignments and midstream development. Mr. Gregory Barnes was the lead developer and project manager for one of Keystone Gas Storage Facilities in Texas, one of the first bedded salt gas storage facilities in the U.S. He also worked for several small independents earlier in his career in drilling and production operations in the DJ and Permian Basins.
Mr. Gregory Barnes commenced his consultant practice in 2000 thereby starting DES Engineering Group Services alongside his regular Engineering occupation. In 2020 he retired fully to focus on DES Engineering Group. He is involved Construction of Roads, Buildings, Electrical infrastructure development, Rig contrustion and Offshore maintenance services, procurement and servicing of equipment and has taken DES Engineering Group to unfathomable reach with the unique contractual partnerships he has been able to achieve. He is currently based in the USA, overseeing the growth of his company.
